Product details
Take a journey of sonority and style with Australia's unique chamber ensemble, Clarity. Leave any pre-conceived notion of the clarinet at the door - these musicians explore every genre from contemporary art music to Led Zeppelin infusing their performances with energy and life. If your most recent memory of the clarinet is the last time you played it in your high school band, it's time to get out in search of Clarity!
Equally at home on the concert platform or more unusual settings, Clarity has performed at every occasion from an all-night rock concert in outback Australia, to London's St-Martin-in-the-Fields. The quartet has appeared at the Castlemaine State Festival, The National Multicultural Festival, The Festival of Jazz and Roses and for the Darwin Youth Festival. They are regular performers around Australia in Queensland, the Northern Territory, Victoria and NSW. They have opened concerts for the late Slim Dusty and Stephane Grappelli, marched and played with 6000 athletes as part of the Australian Masters Games, presented recitals for the National Gallery of Australia and the Alliance Francaise. Clarity has performed internationally to acclaim in France the UK and Belgium.
This outstanding quartet comprises four of Australia's most talented Clarinettists, Nicole Canham, Lisa Manning, Samantha Kelson and Matthew O'Keefe. This is clarity, is their debut album on the Move Label.
