In 2023 the NSW Doctors Orchestra (Musicus Medicus), reached its twentieth year, and Celebration was commissioned to open the concert in that year. Having conducted the orchestra for many years - an orchestra of skill, passion and enormous intellect - it was a great pleasure to compose a work that was tailor made for the players. In composing the work I aimed to give ever player a satisfying experience and to create a sound world full of colour and life.

Difficulty: Medium — Some individual parts (especially principal wind parts) have virtuosic sections, but the work is well within the grasp of a good youth or community orchestra.
