Product details
This work reminds me of someone dashing about on a busy day. While there are moments of calm, ultimately they are frustrated and a bit chaotic.
Dash was composed according to arch form, with the five sections repeating in reverse order of appearance. Each section's repeat has been altered in a different way, including palindrome, flipped notation, transposition and colour variation.
Section D: Reversal of notation.
Section C: Reversal of notation, emphases more on tonality and less percussive.
Section B: Notation reversed and flipped vertically. Notes originally played tremolo are incorporated through appoggiaturas, grace notes and trills.
Section A2: Notation in the original order, many notes transposed an octave.
Section A1: - notation in original order with extra percussive effects.
