En Las Sombras - in the shadows - is full of passion and driving rhythms, with interesting meter changes. Technical features include palm muting, rasgueado, tambor, and LH only passages. I wanted this piece to really show off John's virtuosic playing on the guitar.
En Las Sombras succeeds/complements De La Luz and Sin Luz, as part of a set of 3 contrasting works for solo guitar.
