The trumpet player is encouraged to explore the possibilities of interaction with the electronics. There are times at which the solo voice can be quite distinct and other times that it is intended to be lost in the murkiness of the polyphony. Toward the end of the piece, the solo voice becomes overwhelmed in the cloud of voices, as if in a swarm of fireflies.
The electronics require MAX to run, with cues which correspond to the score.
