Summary: 'Goddesses and rabbits': A homage to the composer's mother and to the island of Malta. The composition takes us on a personal and sometimes surreal voyage of (re)discovery to his mother's homeland. This work extends the boundaries of what traditionally defines a musical composition, using spoken word, songs, field recordings, electroacoustic textures plus improvised and detailed scored performances. With the voice of Carmen Iolini. Singer: Karen Cummings. Performers: Wadih Dona and Lucia Mastrantone.
Non-commercial recording. For study purposes only.
Summary: 'Malta postcard': radio feature: an old book of sepia photographs, given to performer Paul Capsis when he was a child, awakened fantasies of a place his grandparents often spoke of - Malta, their native land.
