I have always been influenced by the music of France and Spain and the music of Ravel, Chabrier, Debussy, Albeniz and de Falla has always fascinated me. I speak both French and Spanish, and my first piano concerto - Concierto Folklorico - is influenced by the music and folklore of Spain.
