The idea for this song occurred to me after receiving the umpteenth email from a musician boasting about their accomplishments and upcoming events, after somehow gaining access to a mailing list. It seems to be always the lamest "artists" who are the most determined to share details of their boring lives and who boast the most about their limited accomplishments.
The pitch material for this duo is based on a note matrix generated by the word "and", an overused word by these types that encapsulates the acquisitive, breathless optimism, as well as strenuous superficiality, of the digital narcissist.
