This kit is designed to enhance the aural and musicological skills of both secondary and tertiary music students. The kit includes an 82-page booklet including background information, score excerpts and activities for students, and a CD of Kats-Chernin's compositions, performed by Kats-Chernin and Sydney Omega Ensemble. Five works have been selected for close analysis and of these, Re-Inventions is the main focus of the kit. Improvisation activities and classroom-styled arrangements are also provided to enable a practical exposure to the compositions. Produced by the Australian Music Centre under license from the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre.
