Product details

Recorded in concert on tour in Japan in January 2024, this is Kira Kira's second album deepening and strengthening their collective voice.

In 2024 Tamura, Spence and Fujii were joined by Japanese avant-drumming force Tatsuya Yoshida, well known for his work with the Ruins, John Zorn and many more.

The five compositions explore a range of moods - from ghostly and mysterious, to jump-cut high energy, to powerful groove, to quirky - all with a trademark 'anything-could-happen' sonic signature. Available via Bandcamp.

Kira Kira Live was voted in the Best albums of 2024 worldwide in the Francis Davis Jazz Critics Poll 2024.

Kira Kira Live was voted in the Ten Best Jazz Albums of 2024, by Glenn Astarita.
