This work has been commissioned on behalf of Lia Jensen-Abbott by Albion College - Michigan University as part of the Albion College Diabelli Squared Project 2022.
The Albion College Diabelli Squared Project commissioned ten composers around the world to compose new variations on the Diabelli theme, demonstrating the diversity which was hypothesized for the original Diabelli project. The result of this work was reflected in the recording of Three Albums with each one of those works.
In 2022, the Albion College granted the recording of a new album composed by women composers from around the world specially commissioned to write variations for this project.
