Product details
Grooves can be literally carved out in rock or wood, being formed by the natural forces of the weather and elements - usually over very long periods of time. Otherwise, grooves can be made quite quickly with machinery and tools for chosen human purposes. Alternatively, there's the type of grooves you hear in music. These relatively short motives are held in place - usually in the bass - and lend themselves to endless variation through repetition. Eventually the grooves play around by themselves - etched into your mind's ear.
For Liquid Grooves you might imagine yourself metaphorically as a stream of water, moving along with the patterns of sound. You can feel yourself flowing over, under and around the shapes and forms of a river bed. While playing the piece, settle your breathing, heart beat and blood flow in sync with the liquid groove. Incidentally, your nervous system will be carving out new neural pathways - like grooves - which your fingers fall into naturally. Doing so, you'll be embodying the music and enjoying a lovely state of awareness and ease.
