Product details
Published by: Australian Music Centre — 1 facsimile score (21p. -- A4 (portrait))
Difficulty: Advanced
Duration: 10 mins
This piece was composed and performed using the multi-effects pedal BOSS ME-80, which is relatively basic but highly dynamic due to its knob-based interface.
The effects used in this piece, along with their respective parameters, are:
• DELAY (2): Time, Feedback, Level
• TREMOLO: Rate, Depth, Level
• HARMONIST: Rate, Depth, Level
• DISTORTION: Drive, Tone, Level
Only one staff was used to approximately notate the use of these effects, and the variation of their parameters throughout the piece can be adjusted ad libitum according to the performer’s preferences. Nevertheless, Delay and Tremolo must be adjusted with greater precision, as they willprovide the performance tempo for the string quartet.
It is advisable for a separate performer to control the pedal instead of the double bassist, as this arrangement might make the actions more accessible.
Typeset edition.
