Digital Sheet Music [PDF]: ScoreMetric Leisure for Orchestra : [eScore] / Christian O'Brien.by Christian O'Brien (2009)

Product details
This piece was
inspired by a documentary about people who live their life
according to metric time. I was fascinated by the strength of
commitment these people had to an idea that was so strongly set
against the status quo. Metric time enthusiasts view time almost
as a religion that guides their life. For the opening of this
piece I have used irregular bars to represent the competing
metric and imperial times eventually with the metric time
prevailing. After which the piece is divided into four segments.
The first three being Leisure, Love and Work. The final segment
is a combination of all three representing the struggle of
organizing one's life under any sort of formal rule including
metric time.
