This piece was written at a silent retreat situated on the river Maas in June 2019. With the idea that rivers are Earth's arteries, the Maas would be the main artery supporting the branches of my my ancestors. As an ancient super highway it was vital for trade and exchange of resources including ideas, stories, mythologies. It is a fascinating river and so dedicating this piece to the river fulfills many deep resonances.
