The resource is primarily for secondary school students and can be incorporated in classroom programs at the senior level, Years 11-12 and from Years 7-10. The content of this resource includes an introduction and background to Ngapa William Cooper a ground-breaking work for vocal soloists and orchestra combining the compositional forces of Nigel Westlake, Lior and Dr Lou Bennett. This is followed by an overview of the composers and a detailed listening guide. Towards the end of the kit are teaching prompts/ideas to assist with the presentation and study of this work in the classroom. These prompts or tasks have been divided into Listening/Musicology, Performance and Composition.
