This recording is a collaboration between Duo Langborn/Wendel & The Marais Project. It is a blend baroque music, original compositions and arrangements, as well as folk music from both Australia and Sweden.
Much of the repertoire for the album was arranged or composed specifically for our unique instrumentation: voice/violin, violin, viola da gamba, cimbalom, and guitar/theorbo.
This album continues The Marais Project's philosophy of recording. The repertoire is diverse and engaging, lovingly performed by its unique instrumentation of voice/violin, baroque/modern violin, cimbalom, theorbo/lute and viola da gamba. The cimbalom is rare in classical music, so don't miss the chance to hear the amazing sound of Olof's concert cimbalom.
