Product details
Duration: 58 min.
This product forms part of the following series: Listening Room.
'Pressures of the unspeakable', winner of the Rai Prize at the 1992 Prix Italia, began with a concept of the "screamscape". "Once given voice, the chorus of screams through the soundscape of a given region shapes and discloses its identity in condensed and crystallised ways; the screamscape is above all a nervous system, and no two systems feel (or sound) exactly alike" (Whitehead).
Non-commercial recording. For study purposes only.
Broadcast on "The Listening Room" on ABC Classic FM on 21 July 1997.
'Liturgy for a simple woman' is a sound prayer for the ordinary woman and the rituals and routines of her daily life.
