Visual Art has always been a source of inspiration. I am particularly drawn to 'quiet' pieces that have a particularly singular focus - still life, self-portraits, abstract minimalism - and often by women artists. Clarice Beckett, Agnes Martin, Margaret Preston, Stella Bowen, Nora Heysen, Gwen John and Hilma af Klint are some of the artists whose work intrigues and inspires me. These pieces are not intended to be responses to specific paintings but more an attempt to reflect something of the quiet energy and intensity of the work of some of my favourite artists. Each piece evokes a particular sensibility, energy, or state, capturing a moment in time and space
