Product details
"Quincerto" - as the name implies - is a quintet that seeks to act in some ways as a concerto for an unusual combination of instruments.
It employs a formal structure often favoured by the composer. The first movement is a kind of prelude, a dialogue between the instruments, freely exploring shifts of colour and motif. Following this is a rhythmically energetic & muscular second movement dominated by the motif in 3 and 7 first played by the bass, which acts as a sort of groove underpinning a movement of riff-like patterns and shifting meter.
