|
Product details
Reconstructing water is concerned with reconstructing the familiar via reimagining iconic existing works, objects and locations to create something new. In this case fragments of the Hornpipe movement from George Frederick Handel's Water music suite are stretched, sliced and reconstructed to create a single movement work sonically reminiscent of the original. Reconstructing water is part of a series of works by this composer created in 2016 including Where butterflies sleep, Reconstructing the sun, Deconstructing the first grand opera and Reconstructing the bridge which reconstructs visual and sonic images of the iconic Brooklyn bridge.
