Product details

Wanderlust appeared on the jazz scene in 1991 and have since created a highly personal sound by avoiding obvious solutions and established jazz styles and fashions. Their unusual mix of diverse rhythmic, harmonic and melodic ideas constantly surprises. Three European tours have created much interest in their unique concept, especially at major festivals. In November the band will tour China and Japan. The emphasis is on composition, texture, mood, rather than display of individual virtuosity and chops. The ARIA-winners are led by Miroslav Bukovsky on trumpet and flugelhorn who also composes most of the material. His collaborators - no sidemen here - are all highly creative artists who gravitated together through similar tastes and sensibility.
