Sheet Music: Score
Spiral : for flexible instrumentation / Jennifer Fowler.
by Jennifer Fowler (2002)
Spiral was written for COMA South (the southern branch of Contemporary Music for Amateurs, UK) with funds provided by Southern Arts.
It is scored for flexible ensemble and designed to be suitable for players of differing abilities. It's demands are not simple however and it presents plenty of challenges for the players.
It is divided into 6 sections: 4 Episodes which are fully notated, and 2 improvisatory sections, which can use unconventional percussion instruments and voices alongside the conventional instruments.
