Summary: 'Paroles': Every individual has a unique "parole" or spoken word. The composer invited a number of collaborators to write and perform texts and vocalisations that embodied particular speeds and rhythms and mind/body states. These taped performances were then deconstructed and transformed using digital editing, manipulation and processing. The pieces aer: Counting the beat, by Helaine Pearce ; Accelerator, by Genevieve Maynard ; 54321, by Mizoguchi Haruko ; Future Velocity ; and Derive, by Sabrina Achilles.
