Product details
One cannot fail to be impressed by the vastness of Northern
Territory where Kakadu is situated. Kakadu is now one of the best
known wildlife reserves in Australia. Kakadu was the inspiration
for this work Sunrise at Kakadu.
The writing in this piece is somewhat rhapsodic and flows with
ideas describing the landscape of this great Aboriginal reserve.
The low registers of the orchestra are often used to evoke the
rising sun. The sun is seen shining through from time to time and
is evident through glittering strings and brass near the end of
this evocative work.
