Product details
Tapestry captures in exquisite clarity one night of improvisation between 3 masters of their instruments - Iranian tar player Hamed Sadeghi, award-winning saxophonist-bass clarinettist Jeremy Rose and bassist Lloyd Swanton, well known to many as one-third of The Necks.
Inspired by the Persian Radif and Hamed's music, Vazesh produce a sonorous and joyous interplay between an ancient venerable musical tradition and contemporary improv. With a finely honed economy, the ease between the musicians is compelling throughout. Available via Bandcamp.
Contents note: Zircon -- Lilac -- Rose -- Pagoda -- Pistachio -- Julep -- Magic -- Calabash -- Azure -- Demitasse -- Divan -- Pasmina -- Musk -- Saffron.
Also available in digital format.
