Product details

The full version requires baritone solo and male chorus, but it can be performed by concert band alone with either a euphonium or trombone solo. The text is from an old British sea shanty, in simple verse and chorus form. The setting is dedicated to the memory of Percy Grainger. The work has been performed with both a small male chorus and a large one; cues in the band parts allow changes in scoring weight according to the chorus size.
