Product details
In 2002 I wrote a choral work with flutes entitled Improvisation on a poem of Gwen Harwood and based on Gwen Harwood's poem, 'Sea Eagle'. In this work I have taken the raw material of the opening flute birdcalls to create a new work - again inspired by Gwen Harwood's poem and beautiful Bruny Island on which it is set.
The work seeks to introduce to young players a range of new sounds and techniques, within a context which is technically simple and musically approachable.
