Product details
This is a very technically and musically demanding work; a genuine showpiece for accomplished flautists. The piece is tonally and rhythmically very abstruse, utilizing a range of contemporary compositional styles and techniques. The piece is divided into two sections. There is a mysterious opening section which includes a melodic quote taken from Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. The work concludes brilliantly with some very fiery and fast music.
