They May Be Giants was composed for the band Clarion Fracture Zone featuring Sandy Evans, Tony Gorman, Alister Spence, Lloyd Swanton, Toby Hall. It was one of the pieces recorded and released by the band on the album 'Less Stable Elements' (Rufus Records, RF020) in 1996. The album was a finalist for Best Jazz Album in the 1996 ARIA Awards.
