These three pieces grew out of a desire to create music which exploited the natural strenths and character of the mandolin.

"Spiral" spins and weaves melodic lines and waves of ringing sound, "Reverie" is a darker, reflective piece mostly in 7/8 and "Four-String Swing" celebrates the great plectrum-instrument association with swing.
