Work Overview
"This piece was a live performance of my first impressions at dawn, in winter of the megalithic Neolithic site Ggantija, Gozo, Malta. I met the Maltese poet Marlene Saliba after the first performance at the first international archaeoacoustics conference. We made a pilgrimage to the site together the next year, in summer to share her poetry in situe. A fragment from one of her poems, Il-Ggantija T'Ghawdex (The Giantess of Gozo), has found its way back through time, into this work" -- Ros Bandt.
