Migrant Child is the third song in the new song cycle
TRUTH IN THE CAGE composed by Chloé Charody based on the poetry
collection of the same title by Manus Prison survivor, Mohmmad
Ali Maleki.
Mohammad is an Iranian refugee who spent 10 years incarcerated at
Manus Prison - a place run by the Australian Government to detain
mainly men who had come to Australia by boat to ask for
sanctuary.
Whilst in this prison, Mohammad and his fellow inmates suffered
terribly, and it was inside this prison where Mohammad wrote his
poetry collection 'Truth in the Cage'.
Chloé has collaborated with Mohammad to bring 7 of these poems to
life in this dynamic new song cycle.
