Work Overview

This work was commissioned for the opening ceremony for the Multi-Arts Pavilion at Speer's Point. Lake MacQuarie NSW in 2022. The work begins with a maestoso fanfare which gradually transforms into to a high energy rock theme before leading to a solo yidaki section (accapella). The next theme is a double time fuk rock theme that leads to a half-time heavy funk groove with yidaki over the top. The yidaki enters accappela once again for an unspecified solo before the big band enters with a lively rock theme. The yidaki enters again (accapella). The next section features the big band playing a heavy, powerful march version of the main theme with leads to a huge climax with the 1st trumpet playing a E4 before the band plays the final series of chords.
