Work Overview

This Is Not The End is a short work exploring some ways that 3 bassoons (or 3 saxes) can work together. It has two main melodic themes, and borrows rhythms found in rock and funk styles, together with some 'classical' musical development. It builds in intensity before restating the opening theme in unison. The work was composed as an encore piece, but wherever it's played, keep the rhythms tight, and have some fun!
