Work Overview
Five moods in five modes was written specifically for young performers. While inescapably of the 20th century, the composer's aim has been to create pieces that are tuneful and accessible, while being in a variety of styles and requiring a number of piano techniques less frequently encountered, such as una corda pedal, sostenuto pedal, crossing hands, and a wide range of dynamics.
