Work Overview
String Quintet No. 2 : Kangaroo, is part of the larger work called "Dreaming In the Sand". Kangaroo portrays a view of Australia from the perspective of the animals before the arrival of the First Fleet.
Dreaming In the Sand tells the story of a convict from the First Fleet called Suzannah who meets a First Nation boy who becomes the sole beholder of the songs in the sand after the fall of the modern age. The songs take the world on a mystical journey to a new beginning.
