Work

Infinite Affinities : for string quartet

by Thomas Misson (2023)

Work Overview

In Infinite Affinities, the endless possibilities and continuous development of the string quartet are celebrated. This development and constant reinvention is mirrored through both the pitch material, which strictly derived from Per Nørgård's constantly growing and developing infinity series and the lens this operates under, that of less "classical" genres not considered typical for a string quartet such as progressive metal, jazz fusion and ambient music.
