Work Overview
Lux Perpetua No Later Light was composed in response to Victoria's 1605 Requiem and juxtaposes Brontë's words with text from the Requiem Mass. As parts build the dynamics allow different voices to be brought to the front of the texture, allowing them to 'glint' through the sound and have each iterations of the text, harmony, and melodic combinations have an individual characteristic. Much the way that light through a prism or window highlights and lands differently depending on time of day, year, weather etc.
