Work

Reconciling auras (didjeridu with chamber orchestra)

by Haydn Reeder (1997)

Work Overview

I composed Reconciling Auras after the award of a grant from Arts Victoria in 1996. My aims were to highlight the talents of the didjeridu player Tom E. Lewis and the Orana Chamber Orchestra for whom the work was written.

The soloist's role ranges from a display in the form of unaccompanied solos (cadenzas) to integration into the fabric of the orchestral music.
