Work Overview
I. This movement begins with a chordal figuration with lilting rhythms, over which the clarinet sings, which alternates with fast articulated runs, forming their own interesting melodic lines.
II. The clarinet sings a solemn chant, influenced by plainchant aesthetics, which transforms into quasi-birdsong figurations.
III. A contrast of staccato and sustained articulations gradually become a fast, playful toccata.
