Work Overview
In times of Global Pandemic crises, natural disasters snd wars between nations, instabilioty and constant crises, its hard at times to keep sanity and positive outlook to life. Light Keeper refers to inner self, the light within, the wellbeing of ouyr souls. When the world goes dark, we need to find light within, that sustains us, gives us sense of wonder, and owe, something that inspires us and let us create. The music of 'Light Keeper' is a journey into the mystical and beautiful, wonderous, and ever-changing light.Full of rich harmonies, induced by jazz and improvisation like across the whole string orchestra and piano part.
My influences and inspirations: the start of War between Russia and Ukraine, February 2022.The Global Pandemic Covid crises in 2020. Floods and fires in Australia. Musically influenced by S. Reich, P.Glass, S.Stravinsky, C.Debussy, C.Cowan, A.Vivaldi, J.Williams, J.Towardos, Jazz music.
Books and art that influenced me: 'Walk in the light while there's light' by L.Tolstoy, 'Phosphorescence' by J.Baird, art of Van Gogh, reference to Patanjili yoga mantra, written in ancient Sanskrit: 'Honouring the inner light'.
