Work Overview
I was
invited by Australian bassoonist Mark Gaydon to write this piece,
which premiered in the Adelaide Hills in July 2010. Mark was
interested in many of the new techniques of bassoon writing and
was keen to have a new work using some of these innovations. This
piece aims to demonstrate both these techniques and the beauty of
the bassoon.
