The work draws its inspiration from The Scenic Rim, a section of the Great Dividing Range from the Qld-NSW border north to Toowoomba and beyond.
Instrumentation: 2 flutes, 2 oboes (2nd doubling cor anglais), 2 clarinets in B flat/A, bass clarinet in B flat, 2 bassoons, contra-bassoon, 4 horns in F, 2 trumpets in B flat, 3 trombones, tuba, timpani, percussion (4 players), harp, strings.
Duration: 30 min.
