Library shelf no. 782.55525/AND 2 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
The text for the anthem is taken from Matthew 25:34-40, which
reflects on how we encounter God in those we assist.
Anthem Text:
Then shall the King say unto them,
"Come ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you.
For I was hungry, and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
was a stranger and you took me in:
naked and you clothed me:
sick, and you visited me:
I was in prison and you came to me."
Then shall the righteous answer him,
"When did we see you, Lord, in such great need?
Hungry, or thirsty, naked, or sick,
imprisoned or a stranger?
When was it that we offered you help?"
And then the King shall answer them,
"As you did these things for one of the least of my people,
so have you done these things for me."
