This is part of a song cycle called Seven Stations. St James is about St James station in the CBD of Sydney. The poem's text referrs to the history of St James's tunnels, but also of the pre-colonial history of the area, and the capitalist centre it has now become.
Instrumentation: Soprano, bass guitar, various effects pedals.
