Work Overview
Music from a Quiet Place is a contemplative piece inspired by my own surroundings. There is often dialogue between the hands, which, to my mind is a conversation between man and woman. From my window I see a mini rainforest in which there is always melody. Murmuring bamboos reach for the sun and tall trees attract a delightful array of singing birds. Colour, contrast, energy, vitality and a spirit of contemplation, were the elements I sought to express in this "musical landscape".
