Work Overview
In writing Questions of Love for The Australian Piano Duo, Dr. Vicky Yang and Maggie Chen, I was influenced by my appreciation of their musicianship, their interpretative ability as well as their outstanding performance. Another influence was my contact with the poem
'Love's Question' by Rabindranath Tagore. The work is neo-romantic in style with opportunities for expressive and dynamic contrasts throughout the score. The melodic line moves, throughout the five minute duration of the work, from piano to piano with the inclusion of some solo sections.
