Work Overview
These ten little studies were written for a student returning to the practise of piano after some time. To facilitate reading a score, simple major and minor keys were chosen and scale passages from these keys included. Time signatures are varied and the studies include changes in tempo and in touch. The shaping of phrases with production of tone and line has been considered as has the importance of expressive left hand performance. Although I have created these studies as exercises, I hope they might give the student satisfaction in the playing.
