Work Overview
This work represents a return to writing for Mallets that I explored earlier in my career. It centres around a 5/4 pattern that gently works its way through a range of diatonic keys before moving to more strident middle section after which a few different time signatures are glided through before returning to the main theme. It has some minimal influences, but mostly in the mallet writing. It is great opportunity for 2 percussions to work together, with each part of equal difficulty but requiring both to be in rhythmic and dynamic lock step.
